Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement covers the website at stemeup.com, which is run by STEMeUp Ltd.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA. We check the site against these criteria whenever we change it.
What’s in place
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone, including the navigation, the forms, and the interactive chart slider. There is a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Text colours meet WCAG AA contrast requirements against the background, including small labels inside diagrams.
- Every meaningful image and chart has a text alternative describing what it shows. Decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers.
- All animation respects the “reduce motion” setting on your device. With it switched on, content appears immediately with no movement.
- Pages use semantic headings and landmarks, so screen-reader users can move between sections.
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content, and the layout adapts to small screens and zoomed viewports.
- Form fields have visible labels. Nothing on the site flashes, autoplays, or imposes time limits.
Known limitations
- The animated diagrams (such as the graph on the Our Approach page) are visual by nature. Each one has a written description, and the same information is given in the surrounding text, but the animation itself is not narrated.
- Some diagram labels use our display typeface at small sizes. All essential information is repeated in regular body text.
