Privacy notice
This notice covers the details you give us through the two forms on this site — the contact form and the newsletter signup. Nothing else is collected: this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers.
Who we are
The data controller is STEMeUp Ltd, registered in England and Wales. The quickest way to reach us about anything in this notice is through the contact form.
What we collect
If you fill in the contact form, we collect your name, email address, role, organisation (if you choose to give it), and the message you write. If you sign up to the newsletter, we collect your email address only. In both cases we collect them on the basis of your explicit consent, given via the unticked checkbox on each form.
What we do with it
Contact-form details are used only to read and reply to your enquiry. Newsletter emails are used only to send the occasional update you signed up for. We do not use either for any other purpose, and we do not share them with anyone except the hosting provider described below.
Where it lives
Submissions are received and stored by Netlify, Inc. (USA), the company that hosts this site, acting as our data processor. That means your details may be processed outside the UK; Netlify provides the safeguards UK GDPR requires for such transfers, and processes the data only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Contact-form details are kept for as long as we’re in conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe (every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, send us a request through the contact form and we’ll act on it. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
